PIO DOCUSERIES CASTING AUDITIONS Austin-Travis County EMS has been engaged in discussions with 44Blue Productions, a Los Angeles, California based media Production Company. This is the same production company that produced the docuseries “Nightwatch Nation” for A&E. They have now been commissioned to produce a docuseries for the Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) titled “ First Responders Live on FOX ”. Unlike “Nightwatch Nation” where the series only followed the overnight shifts of field EMS profes- sionals, this program will contain live activity and emergency response from Police and Fire depart- ments from across the country, however they will ONLY air some live components of EMS activity that does not include patient care or contact. Per the production company “ Any EMS calls with patients will be pre-recorded, pre-cleared and packaged into the live broadcast ”, up to three (3) months prior to the live broadcast, and the “ Live EMS portions will be with Paramedics and EMTs in their environment (inside the cab, at the station, driving, etc.), potentially before a call and/or after a call discussing the aspects of what is about to or has happened .” As a result, the department is now accepting letters from interested Field Medics to participate in their casting auditions. By submitting a letter of interest to participate in this project, candidates are agreeing to fully commit to maintaining flexibility in their work assignments and understand that should you be selected as a character role your current shift assignment may be temporarily modified for the duration of the filming period in order to accommodate the shooting schedule and/or other depart- ment logistics. Must be willing to commit to providing and participating in interviews through the primary produc- tion shooting period and any potential pickup (additional) interviews that may be required after the primary production wraps and are several months into the editing process. Must understand there will be no additional compensation or expected benefit for participation.
